About Me
I’m Lauren Fournier, Psy.D., a licensed psychologist based in Long Beach and a native to Southern California. I have a bachelor's in Psychology from UCLA and a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Azusa Pacific University. I have previously worked in various hospital and university settings, including at Harbor UCLA, University of San Diego, and California State University, Fullerton. I became licensed in 2011 and have since been providing individual, couple, and group psychotherapy to adolescent and adult clients of varying ages, races/ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, religions, and abilities.
We all face obstacles in our lives that, at times, impact our ability to connect with others and attend to our daily responsibilities. When we find ourselves in this place, it can be incredibly beneficial to engage in self-exploration with someone who can offer new perspectives and remind us of our greatest assets. I wholeheartedly believe in the power of change through connection. As such, I am fully invested in working collaboratively with you to create a strong therapeutic relationship that is rooted in both transparency and mutual trust. I also recognize that pursuing therapy can be challenging and so want to do all that I can to demystify the process and identify your specific needs. If you would like more information, please get in touch with me today.
